How Heat Rash Is Different From Sun Rash

Heat rash and sun rash are normally treated as the same although there are some distinctions among them. Their origin and cause of the occurrence are different. But similarities have been observed in their preventive measures and treatment. So you need to recognize the difference between these two to treat them effectively whenever needed. 

Sun rash is also called photo dermatosis which happens when your skin gets exposed to the sun for a longer duration of time. The common symptoms are:

  1. Groups of small bumps or blisters.
  2. Itchy patches.
  3. Areas of the skin that feel like they’re burning.
  4. Raised or rough patches of skin.

    Other than the hot humid weather, heat rash can develop due to:

    1. A lot of physical activity.
    2. Illness with fever.
    3. Tight or warm clothing.
